Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Our Financial Platform sits at the heart of every loan Affirm makes and every dollar we move. We're looking for a Director of Product Management to lead and scale the teams behind two of our most critical and complex domains: Loans Lifecycle and Money Movement. This is a role for a seasoned product leader who thrives in the intersection of financial systems, platform engineering, and organizational scale. Regularly present strategy, tradeoffs, and priorities to senior leadership. Shape organizational thinking on where to invest and what to deprioritize. What we look for - 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3–5 years managing and developing PM teams including people managers - Deep experience in loans or lending systems — you understand loan lifecycle mechanics, platform architecture for loan servicing, and the compliance and operational requirements that come with it - Meaningful experience in money movement, payments infrastructure, or financial operations — you're fluent in payment rails, settlement flows, cross-border transfers, and the reliability and accuracy standards these systems demand - Experience in fintech, financial services, or banking; familiarity with BNPL, platform products, or backend infrastructure is strongly preferred; capital markets background is a plus - Demonstrated ability to set and execute long-term platform strategy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments - Strong technical fluency — you're comfortable diving into data models and API discussions with engineers and holding informed opinions - Proficiency with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate your own work and raise the bar for your team - Track record of building and scaling distributed, high-performing PM teams across multiple domains simultaneously - Exceptional stakeholder management skills — you can align Legal, Finance, Engineering, and executive leadership around a common direction - Outstanding written and verbal communication; you tell crisp, data-driven stories to diverse audiences - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience Pay Grade - T Equity Grade - 11 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Senior Product Manager, Capital

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. About the Product team The Product team listens to our customers’ needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision. About the role As Affirm continues its rapid growth, it’s critical for the company to scale its funding capacity and loan origination capabilities to support the growing billions of dollars in loans that Affirm underwrites every year. That’s where Capital Product comes in. The Capital Product team is responsible for conceiving, designing, and building the next generation of tools, systems, and processes required to scale Affirm’s intricate Capital operations. Within Capital, the Originations product area is the engine that powers how every Affirm loan comes into existence, managing the integrations, allocation logic, and regulatory compliance across our network of originating bank partners and our own originating entities. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the Originations product area end-to-end. You'll be the single-threaded owner of originator integrations, allocation logic, bank partner onboarding, and the systems that ensure every checkout can be fulfilled with the right origination capacity. You'll drive product strategy and execution in close partnership with the Loan Origination & Reporting (LOR) engineering team, while navigating a complex web of internal and external stakeholders across Bank Partnerships, Credit, Compliance, and Capital Markets. Use that expertise to drive strategy for expanding and diversifying the originator network. - Own originator allocation and ensure coverage: Own the allocation logic that determines which originator is selected for every loan at checkout, balancing volume targets, regulatory restrictions, and originator preferences. Coverage gaps here mean loans that can't be originated, so reliability and completeness are the bar. - Define and drive origination health metrics: Set clear success metrics for the origination product, own product-originator coverage tracking, and ensure data quality in the Funding ETL that downstream Capital teams depend on. You are accountable for the numbers that tell Affirm whether origination is working. - Set strategy and execute the roadmap: Translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and engineering constraints into a clea

Software Engineer II, Backend (Reliability Platform)

Negotiable

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to design and build a next-generation reliability platform for Affirm’s production systems. You’ll blend traditional distributed systems engineering with AI-assisted development to give teams a single place to understand, debug, and improve the health of their services. This is a highly creative, hands-on role for someone who loves “vibe coding” — rapidly iterating, shipping, and refining with strong intuition— while still holding a very high bar for reliability, quality, and maintainability. What you will do - Build a centralized reliability command center that gives teams a unified view of system health, risk, and reliability across services and environments. - Create AI agents that can assist with incident triage, root-cause exploration, log/trace summarization, and recommended next actions. - Create delightful developer-facing features and APIs that help engineers explore data, debug issues, and make better decisions. - Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot-like tools) as leverage to prototype, refactor, and ship high-quality code quickly. - Own projects end-to-end: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration based on feedback. - Collaborate closely with partner teams (product, infra, data, SRE) to understand pain points and translate them into simple, powerful solutions. What we look for - This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field - 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer - Strong proficiency in Python, with experience architecting data-intensive applications and robust APIs - Problem-solving and product sense: you care about the "what" and the "why," not just the "how." You are capable of taking ambiguous requirements and rapidly iterating towards a working solution - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, such as Cursor, Claude, or similar tools, and enthusiasm for using them to build and ship features faster. - Practical use of LLMs or AI frameworks to enhance automation and guidance with guardrails and citations Base Pay Grade - L Equity Grade - 6 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. Staff Product Manager, Affirm Bank

Negotiable

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Affirm is building its own bank — and this role sits at the center of that ambition. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end bank product: operationalizing a new bank charter within Affirm's ecosystem, launching the deposit product, driving loan originations through the bank entity, and ensuring seamless integration across Affirm's platform. This is a rare opportunity to build a foundational new business line from the ground up — one that will reshape how Affirm funds, serves, and grows relationships with its consumers. You'll work at the intersection of regulated banking, platform engineering, and consumer products to bring Affirm's bank to life. What You’ll Do - Own the end-to-end bank product. Serve as the single-threaded product owner across deposits, loan originations, banking compliance, and operations. You are the person who holds the full picture of how the bank works within Affirm's ecosystem — and you drive it forward. - Launch and own the bank’s deposit product. Ship Affirm’s bank deposit offering as part of launch, then own the deposit product roadmap on a go-forward basis – scaling from early launch to a multi-billion-dollar deposit base, making strategic decisions about how deposits integrate with Affirm's credit products and broader consumer experience. - Operationalize the de novo bank build. Drive the cross-functional work required to stand up and scale bank operations — ensuring regulatory readiness, process maturity, vendor integrations, and seamless connectivity with Affirm's existing lending and money movement infrastructure. - Drive originations through the bank entity. Shape how Affirm originates and retains loans through its own bank, working closely with Credit, Capital Markets, Engineering, and Treasury to optimize volume ramp, unit economics, loan sale and retention mechanics, and regulatory compliance. - Navigate banking compliance and regulatory requirements. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and the Bank's executive team to ensure all products and operations meet federal and state regulatory standards. Build compliance into the product from day one — not as an afterthought. Understand the unique demands of a de novo bank under FDIC and state supervision. - Integrate the bank deposit product into Affirm's consumer ecosystem. Define clear domain boundaries, design requirements for new data flows, and integration points between the bank and Affirm Inc. — working across Servicing, Settlements, Consumer Payments, Checkout, and Growth teams to ensure the bank's products work seamlessly within the Affirm app and platform. - Influence up and across the organization. Communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and priorities to senior leadership and the Bank Board with clarity and conviction. Build alignment across a broad set of stakeholders — Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Capital Markets, and executive leadership — who each bring different constraints and incentives. What we look for - 6+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic, independent leader on complex, ambiguous initiatives - Proven program leadership at scale — you've owned high visibility cross-functional launches across many stakeholders, with direct exposure to executive leadership and/or boards. - Experience in banking, deposits, or lending — you understand deposit products, bank charter operations, or loan origination mechanics and the regulatory landscape that governs them - Bank charter experience is strongly preferred — you've been through or contributed meaningfully to a de novo bank launch or early-stage bank buildout - Deposit product strategy experience is a strong plus — you've defined or scaled deposit products such as high yield savings accounts, spending accounts, or CDs, and you understand the levers of deposit growth, pricing, and consumer acquisition - Experience in fintech, financial services, or banking; familiarity with BNPL, neobanking, or platform products is a plus - Strong technical fluency — you're comfortable working with engineers on system design, data models, API architecture, and core banking platform integrations - Proficiency with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate your own work and raise the bar for quality and speed - Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment across Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Finance, and executive leadership in highly regulated environments - Exceptional written and verbal communication — you can distill complex regulatory and financial concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences including regulators, executives, and engineering teams - Bias for action and intellectual curiosity — you move fast, ask hard questions, and take ownership before being asked - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience Pay Grade - P Equity Grade - 7 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Software Engineer II, Frontend (Purchasing Integrations)

Negotiable

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. The Purchasing Integrations team is responsible for the JavaScript SDK and frontend infrastructure that power Affirm at checkout. We build the library that merchants embed directly into their storefronts - rendering payment messaging and buttons, initiating checkout flows, and orchestrating secure, real-time communication with Affirm’s web app. This code runs on high-traffic production sites, so performance, resiliency, and backward compatibility are critical. Milliseconds matter, and failure is immediately visible to merchants and consumers. This role is deeply frontend-focused. Engineers work on bundle optimization, script loading strategies, rendering performance, and Web Vitals, ensuring our SDK integrates cleanly into diverse merchant stacks without degrading UX. We design extensible UI components that support evolving checkout experiences while keeping integration simple and incremental for developers. Security enhancements and modern browser-based communication patterns are core to the work. The team operates at the intersection of platform and product: building reusable primitives, experimenting with new checkout surfaces, and translating complex requirements into intuitive APIs and polished UI. It’s an opportunity to work on high-scale frontend systems embedded across the web—where engineering rigor directly impacts conversion, growth, and user experience. IT Engineering Manager (Endpoint Engineering)

Negotiable

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Our Client Platform Engineering (CPE) team owns Affirm's endpoint platform end-to-end: from zero-touch provisioning and MDM architecture to patch management, automation pipelines, and compliance posture. We're the team that makes it possible for an Affirmer anywhere in the world to open a laptop on day one and get straight to work. We're looking for a hands-on technical manager to lead the Client Platform Engineering team. This is an engineering-forward leadership role — you'll set the technical direction, establish the program operating model, and actively develop a team of three engineers (one L5, two L6) who are talented but need a clear owner to drive prioritization, consistency of delivery, and a repeatable way of working. You'll report directly to the Director of IT Engineering and be the first dedicated people leader this team has had in some time. That means you'll be building the program scaffolding largely from scratch: defining how work gets planned and tracked, establishing KPIs that give leadership and partner teams real visibility into health and progress, and creating the operating rhythm that lets your engineers do their best work. You'll also be a credible technical voice in cross-functional conversations with Security, Identity, Developer Productivity, and IT Support — able to engage substantively on architecture, tool choices, and tradeoffs without needing to run everything back to your team. What You'll Do Team Leadership & Coaching - Lead, coach, and develop a team of three engineers — setting clear expectations, providing regular candid feedback, and building individual growth plans tailored to each engineer's strengths, gaps, and career goals. - Establish and maintain healthy team operating rhythms: sprint cadence, backlog grooming, incident retrospectives, and async-first communication practices that work across time zones. - Build a culture of ownership, craft, and continuous improvement — where reducing toil and improving reliability is celebrated, not just expected. - Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and a knowledge resource for the broader IT Engineering organization. Program Management & Delivery - Define and maintain the CPE roadmap in alignment with IT Engineering strategy, company-wide security priorities, and Affirm's FY roadmap cycles. - Establish a prioritization framework that balances project work, platform health (KTLO), compliance obligations, and stakeholder requests — with enough transparency that tradeoffs are visible and defensible. - Build and own the KPIs and reporting that give you, your team, and leadership real visibility into endpoint compliance posture, patch currency, deployment reliability, and incident trends. - Implement structured change control processes: communication, testing gates, rollback plans, and post-deployment review for platform changes that affect a global workforce. Technical Direction & Platform Ownership - Guide the architecture and long-term strategy for Affirm's endpoint platform — macOS-first, with Windows and mobile in scope — including MDM configuration, zero-touch provisioning, and the automation pipelines that keep the fleet healthy at scale. - Drive key technical initiatives including permission automation, third-party patching, silent update delivery, and device lifecycle improvements. - Champion infrastructure-as-code and automation-first engineering practices across the team — reducing manual toil and creating durable, repeatable processes. - Evaluate new tooling and approaches, run POCs, and make clear adoption recommendations grounded in security, reliability, and operational efficiency. Cross-Functional Partnership - Build strong working relationships with Security, Identity/IAM, Developer Productivity, and IT Support — acting as a reliable partner and technical peer, not just a fulfillment queue. - Partner with Security to onboard and maintain endpoint security agents (EDR, AV, disk encryption) and enforce least-privilege policies at scale. - Represent CPE in cross-functional planning conversations, bringing clear data and grounded recommendations to tradeoff discussions. - Work closely with Developer Productivity to understand and support the unique endpoint needs of Affirm's engineering population. What We Look For - 5+ years of hands-on experience in endpoint engineering, client platform, or corporate IT engineering at scale — with a strong understanding of macOS device management (Jamf), MDM architecture, and endpoint security practices. - Exposure to compliance frameworks relevant to endpoint security (SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks, or similar). - 2+ years of people management or formal technical leadership experience, including setting direction, running 1:1s, and developing individual engineers. - Demonstrated ability to build and run a program from scratch — establishing operating cadences, KPI frameworks, and prioritization processes where none previously existed. - Scripting and automation proficiency in Bash and at least one additional language (Python strongly preferred); comfort integrating with RESTful APIs (MDM, Okta, Google Workspace, etc.). - Strong cross-functional instincts — able to navigate competing priorities, build trust with partner teams, and communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - A track record of shipping improvements reliably and iteratively, with attention to rollback safety, communication, and compliance documentation. Nice to have - Familiarity with package and software distribution pipelines (AutoPkg, Munki, or equivalent). - Prior experience in a fintech, high-growth, or regulated environment where security and compliance requirements are first-class concerns. - Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tooling (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent) in an IT or corporate engineering context. - Jamf Pro experience at an enterprise level (Jamf 300 or equivalent depth preferred). - Experience with Windows endpoint management (Intune, SCCM, or equivalent).
